Mission & Vision
Our mission
RCT intends to expand reliable treatment options for cancer using a dual approach. Firstly, it will provide patients and their healthcare providers with free information on cancer treatments that it has assessed for evidence according to rigorous standards. Secondly, RCT will provide funding for the development of possible beneficial therapies selected from the broadest range of potential candidates. RCT aims to maintain a balanced portfolio of conventional and non-conventional approaches.
Our vision
RCT believes that there is an urgent need for a comprehensive repository of reliable, trustworthy information on cancer treatments and investigational drugs. Currently, information on conventional cancer therapies is dispersed and often quite complex; information from public, non-institutional sources is overwhelming but confusing and in many cases unverified. Evidence for non-conventional therapies that claim to cure cancers must be further investigated in a reliable, independent and unbiased manner. RCT believes that providing access to the resulting information will facilitate more open communication between patients and their healthcare providers so that successful, integrative treatment choices can be made. If in the course of these investigations promising new cancer treatments are identified, the development of such therapies can be funded.
